The S5 Menu system gives you the option to choose between the jQuery or the S5 Effects scripts to power your site menus. The demo here is all running the jQuery menu system. You can easily switch to the S5 Effects library via your template parameters area in Joomla (extensions > template manager > select the template and click edit)

The S5 jQuery menu functions just like the S5 No-MooMenu except it is powered by jQuery. To demo the menu just mouse over the top menu and you will notice the menu smoothly expand and fade in.

How to install and setup module styles:

1. Download any module you wish to publish to your site.
2. In the backend of Joomla navigate to the menu item Extensions/Install Uninstall



3. Browse for the module's install file and click Upload File & Install.
4. Once the module has be installed navigate to the menu item Extensions/Module Manager (same menu as above)
5. Find the Module just installed and click on it's title.
6. Change any parameters that you wish and be sure to set it to published and publish it to your desired module position.
7. To apply a module style simply fill in the module class suffix field with any of this template's included module styles. This parameter setting is found under Module Parameters on the right side of the screen.



8. Assign what pages you would like the module to appear on and finally click Save.

 

 

1. Search Setup

• Publish the default Joomla search module or the S5 Live Search module to the 'search' position.
• Set the width of the search to 35 in the module's backend.
• This position was only designed for search modules, not content.

2. Column Menu Setup

• Publish any menu module to the main body module positions on your site.
• There should be no menu style suffixes applied under advanced parameters.
• The menu style should be set to list.
• You may assign any of this template's module class suffixes.

3. Top Menu Setup

• Publish any menu to the 'top_menu' position.
• There are no menu style suffixes applied under advanced parameters.
• The menu style should be set to list

4. Bottom Menu Setup

• Publish any menu to the 'bottom_menu' position.
• There are no menu style suffixes applied under advanced parameters.
• The menu style should be set to list

• All other plugins force all CSS and JS to be combined into one file of JS and file of CSS. Our compressor plugin gives you the option to:
  • Only compress module files
  • Only compress component files
  • Only compress non-module and non-component files
  • Or combine any of the above
  The point is you can control what gets compressed independent of each other.
• All other compressor plugins combine javascript files into one large file, called at the top of the page. The problem is javascript almost always needs to be called in a certain order or it will cause page errors. Calling a file at the top of the page that was originally intended to be called in a certain order will cause unwanted results. So we've fixed this and given you three options:
  • Call the compressed javascript at the top of the page in a combined file
  • Call the compressed javascript at the bottom of the page in a combined file
  • Call the compressed javascript in their original locations as individual files
  The first two ways will generate three files (module js, component js, and other js files) and will create less calls to your server. However, we HIGHLY recommend the use of the third option. This option will generate the same amount of calls to your server as without the plugin but will still compress your javascript to a much smaller size all while still being called in the original location to avoid script errors, in other words less download time for your viewers and no script errors!
• Need to exclude certain files? Not a problem! This plugin will allow you to specify certain file names to be excluded from compression despite any previous settings.
• Specify in the backend how long you want your cache to stay on your server. After the time has completed a new cached version of your files will be created.
• Eliminate unwanted white space in your files be enabling CSS Optimization. This feature will remove any un-used white space to reduce the size of each CSS file.
